No, the municipality of Lipari is exempt from tourist tax. However, there is a disembarkation tax (cost varies by season), added once to your ferry ticket, which allows free circulation among all the islands of Lipari’s municipality (Lipari, Vulcano, Panarea, Stromboli, Filicudi, and Alicudi).

Not all rooms have sea views.
On online booking platforms and/or our official website, room types with sea views are labeled as “sea front,” “sea view,” or “partial sea view.”

Daily housekeeping is carried out between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
Priority is given to rooms with arriving guests, followed by stayover rooms.
As water is an especially precious resource on the island due to its delicate ecosystem, we kindly ask that you request a linen change only when necessary by placing used towels on the floor.
You may also choose to opt out of daily cleaning to help reduce the use of environmentally harmful detergents.
Our housekeeping staff will ensure the replacement of toiletries and towels, which will be delivered at the time you indicate at the reception.

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms and common areas. Just connect using the password provided at reception.

Yes, we have an infinity pool with a stunning view over the bay and Lipari’s castle.
In summer, it enjoys sunlight until around 6:00 PM and features a sunbathing area with umbrellas and loungers.
One of the two pools is shallower and equipped with 7 hydromassage stations.
Opening hours are from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Some rooms overlook the pool area: to ensure maximum comfort for all our guests, we kindly ask for respectful behavior during early afternoon and nighttime hours.

The pool opens at the same time as the hotel’s seasonal opening and remains available until the hotel closes for the season.

The pool is not equipped with artificial heating; it is naturally warmed by the sun.

Yes, the hotel provides pool towels free of charge, with no extra cost for replacements.
The first beach towel is also complimentary; if you wish to replace it, the cost is €5.00 per towel.

No, our pool has a maximum depth of 1.30 meters, so you can enjoy your swim safely without the presence of a lifeguard.

No entertainment service is provided. Out of respect for all guests, we kindly ask you not to play ball games or engage in other activities that may cause disturbance.
This is to ensure everyone can enjoy maximum privacy, relaxation, and tranquility by the pool. From June to September, aquagym classes are available at Hotel Mea for a fee and upon reservation.

No, but we have partnerships with external facilities for those interested.
If you wish to book beauty or wellness treatments, we recommend requesting information before your arrival.

Yes, Hotel Mea offers free outdoor parking, which is video-monitored but not attended.

Pets are not allowed at Hotel Mea. However, the only Aeolian Charme Collection properties that accept small pets (upon request at the time of booking) are Hotel Cutimare and Hotel Villa Enrica, with a daily supplement of €10.00.

Yes! The Aeoliancharme Collection includes Asino Beach, a renowned beach club with a restaurant and pizzeria in Vulcano (Gelso).
In Canneto, we partner with several beach clubs offering a relaxing environment, beautiful sea, and exceptional beaches. Some also offer free shuttle service, bar and restaurant service.

Breakfast is served from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
You’ll find an international buffet with a variety of sweet and savory options.
Room service breakfast is also available during the same hours, upon reservation and for an additional fee.

Yes, from 12:30 PM to 7:00 PM we offer a snack service — perfect for a light and tasty break. The menu includes pane cunzato, fresh salads, cold appetizers, assorted sandwiches, and fresh fruit, all of which can be enjoyed poolside or under your umbrella.
At aperitif time, you can also order selected cocktails and drinks.
Please note that Half Board service is not available at the snack bar.

Yes, the hotel features an in-house restaurant called Ristorante Chimera (see below).

Ristorante Chimera features both an indoor dining room and a panoramic outdoor terrace.

Yes, we have a partnership with Ristorante Liparo Re, located in the historic center of Lipari. It’s open for lunch and dinner with an a la carte menu. During high season, it stays open until 11:30 PM. Outside the summer months, it observes a weekly closing day—please check in advance. Half Board Service is also served here for hotel and Aeoliancharme Holidays apartment guests.

There are secure car parks with shuttle service to/from the port, or rent a car with DROP OFF at Milazzo port (SRC rentals).

From June 1 to September 30, non-residents are not allowed to bring cars/motorbikes to Lipari, Vulcano, and Filicudi unless staying at least 7 nights in a hotel.

Yes, unless there are severe weather conditions. Lipari’s port is the most protected, and service rarely stops all day. If you're delayed, contact us for help with alternative arrangements.

Scooters are the easiest way to explore. Cars are recommended for families or those not used to riding scooters.

Yes, directly onsite or in advance. A deposit is required. Prices vary by model and rental period. Early booking is recommended during peak times.

Yes, with or without a skipper. Boats over 40 HP require a boating license. Fuel is extra. Booking early is advised during high season.

Lipari beaches are mainly pebbly. Vulcano has black sandy beaches like Asino Beach, part of our group—a must-visit!

The easiest beach is Porticello, reachable by public bus. From June to September, boats from Lipari and Canneto visit other nearby beaches.

● Vulcano: Medium-easy difficulty, 1.5h ascent. Access is limited during hot hours and after sunset. Guides are not mandatory but recommended.
● Stromboli: Hike solo up to 280m. Beyond that, a certified volcanology guide is required.

Always check current volcanic activity and restrictions.

Yes, if you booked with “free cancellation,” you can cancel without fees within the stated period (see your confirmation email). Deposits are refunded (less bank fees) the following month. Non-refundable bookings cannot be canceled or refunded.

Changes only allowed for direct bookings (website or office), via email at least 15 days prior. Stay value is transferable (not divisible). Rate differences may apply.

● Flexible bookings:
Check your cancellation policy for deadlines. Changes are subject to availability and possible rate adjustments.
