Discover Aquacalda
Acquacalda, located on the northern side of the island of Lipari, is a small seaside village that takes its name from ancient hot springs once found in the area of San Gaetano.
Once a fishing village, it is now known for its distinctive “cuti” beach — large volcanic rocks typical of the Aeolian Islands — and for its beautiful sea sunsets overlooking the island of Salina.
A short distance away are also the historic Lipari pumice quarries, a reminder of the mining activity that for many years characterised this part of the island between Acquacalda and Porticello.
